Easter Egg Hunt 2014

Welcome, my name is Amanda, and this is Caleb Shares. I hope this site becomes a place where you can find a variety of reliable recipes, and introduce new foods to your diet. I hope it becomes a site where you can also learn about Autism, and learn new activities you can do with your child. Our life forever changed the day our son Caleb was diagnosed with Autism. My husband Kyle and I submerged ourselves with the Autism literature, and were quickly overwhelmed. One night we had a serious talk about what we were willing to try with the different therapies out there. We came to a quick conclusion. Both of us were on the same page, we would try anything that had medical research behind it. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Speech Therapy (ST), Occupational Therapy (OT), and a diet intervention was what we were going to do.

Have you ever heard of Nutritional Yeast? Neither had I, until I went vegan . But what about those who aren’t vegan? Well that’s where I come in. I dabble in everything, from Raw foods, Smoothies, Cooked Vegan Dishes, and Plant Based Diets. To be honest I like parts of all of them, and that’s what works for my family. I scour the internet for the best blogs and youtube channels on health eating, research, and new therapy ideas. I quickly realized that’s I was not alone in this new venture in my life. There are tons of Vegans out there, and tons of families dealing with Autism. I hope to become a median for getting you and your family to the right places, and teach you some tricks I learned along the way.

Lets Begin, Caleb Shares.

  1. I love your page Amanda! Thank you so much for sharing. You are an amazing person and I hope others sharing similar circumstances can use your page to better their lives or simply relate. Although my family doesn’t share this type of life experience, I look forward to reading more about Caleb’s progress. Every time I interact with him I see his, growth and small gestures he does like hold my hand and guide me to a chair of his choice are simply remarkable :)
